As previously mentioned, the min chicken has been something of an ongoing project lately. My kid's school class has 29 kids in it, which is huge for our small town. I had played with the idea for awhile of doing a group of mini crochet animals for some event in our town. Valentines Day just happened to be the first holiday/event that has come up where I've had enough time to actually put my idea into reality. I have nine more "boy" chickens to go, aka the blue ones, with all the pink ones already done.

My enjoyment of this pattern, which I wrote after doing some research on mini chicken patterns, has been high. It's an easy pattern to follow, and I've really tried to make it easy for beginners to follow. I have always disliked abbreviations in crochet save for the most basic of terms like "sc" for single crochet and "dc" for double crochet. In my beginner-friendly pattern, I have eliminated all abbreviations to make it as easy as possible.

You can buy the pattern here at my Etsy shop. A free video of me showing how to make the mini chicken will be coming soon.
In the next few weeks I will be trying out several other mini farm animal patterns. I am also open to any requests for certain mini animals you guys might be interested in me creating a pattern for! Let's get creative here!!
Until next time:)
